How do I change my account password?
To change your password:
- Open the account menu by selecting your name, then select Account.
- Under Security, select Account Password and Security (this opens Meta Accounts Center in a new tab).
- Select Change password.
- Input your current password in the Current password box.
- Input what you want your new password to be in the New password box.
- Write your password again in the Re-type new password box.
- Click Change password.
Your password must be at least 8 characters long. It must also include at least 1 each of the following:
- uppercase letter
- lowercase letter
- number
- special character.
If the password you entered doesn’t meet these criteria, an error message will explain why.
