How do I set a spend limit alert?
Meta Model API doesn't currently offer a spending limit that places a hard cap on usage. You can, however, set a monthly spend limit alert to receive an email when your usage costs reach an amount you choose.
To set an alert, go to Billing and use the Spend Limits section.
You're still responsible for paying any usage costs that exceed the spend limit alert amount.
Other ways to stay on top of your costs:
- Monitor usage regularly. The Usage dashboard shows your team's token usage and requests, which you can break down by model and filter by date range.
- Understand when you're charged. Charges accrue as you use the API and are billed when you reach your payment threshold or on your monthly bill date. See How am I billed for Model API?.
